Handling operations in a multi\u2011provider environment is challenging.<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n

The creation and termination of sourcing contracts\u2014and everything in between, meaning how a contract is actually operated in practice\u2014often presents our customers with challenges that are not easy to manage. Especially in a multi\u2011provider environment, handling these aspects is complex. For this reason, we would like to address these challenges in detail in a series of blog posts. <\/p>\n\n

Organizations, particularly those that are part of a group or corporate structure, regularly face the challenges of a multi\u2011provider environment when sourcing their ICT (Information and Communication Technology) requirements. <\/p>\n\n

Bei einer Vervielfachung der Zulieferer – also im Multi-Provider Umfeld – vervielfachen sich zwangsweise auch die Anforderungen an den Auftraggeber.<\/p>\n\n

How can a client ensure effective governance of all service providers delivering its information and communication technology?<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n

Das probate Mittel der Wahl dazu ist \u201eSIAM” – Service Integration and Management. Eine praktische Denkschule f\u00fcr die effiziente Bew\u00e4ltigung von Aufgabenstellungen die sich durch eine Zulieferervielzahl ergeben. SIAM bietet einen Ma\u00dfnahmenkatalog f\u00fcr die Lenkung und Kontrolle der von den Zulieferern – \u201eProvidern” – erbrachten Services als Gesamtheit. <\/p>\n\n

All die M\u00f6glichkeiten die SIAM bietet, all die \u00dcberlegungen und L\u00f6sungen, die sich daraus ergeben, manifestieren sich aber nicht nur in \u201einternen” Dokumenten. Verdichtet und \u201eau\u00dfenwirksam” finden sich alle erarbeiteten Ergebnisse in dem Schriftst\u00fcck, dass das Verh\u00e4ltnis zwischen Auftraggeber und den Service Providern nicht nur umfassend rechtlich regeln soll, sondern idealerweise als Bedienungsanleitung aller Beteiligten f\u00fcr das gemeinsame Gesch\u00e4ft dient: dem Vertragsdokument.<\/p>\n\n

The Contract as an Operating Manual <\/strong><\/h1>\n\n

Der Vertrag soll alles enthalten, alles regeln. Alle Inhalte beginnend mit der Unterfertigung reihum, \u00fcber die allseitige reibungslose Implementierung und dem permanent zu optimierenden Betrieb bis zum letzten Schritt – dem Vertragsende mit dem \u201edisentanglement”: der Entwirrung der zuvor erfolgten, innigen Verkn\u00fcpfung zwischen Auftraggeber und dem jeweiligen Provider im Hinblick auf die betroffenen ICT-Services. Gleichzeitig soll der Vertrag aber auch nicht \u00fcberm\u00e4\u00dfig starre Vorgaben beinhalten, Spielraum f\u00fcr Anpassungen bieten und Regelungen, die erst im Laufe der Implementierungsphase gesch\u00e4rft werden k\u00f6nnen als Erarbeitungsvorlage vorwegnehmen.<\/p>\n\n

SIAM sieht f\u00fcr die Implementierung eines Multi-Provider Outsourcing vier \u201eKey Stages” vor:<\/p>\n\n

    Obwohl die tats\u00e4chliche Vertragserrichtung in der Phase 2 \u201ePlan & Build” stattfindet, sollten die Vorarbeiten dazu bereits in der Initialphase \u201eDiscovery and Strategy” einsetzten. Bestehende Vertr\u00e4ge fr\u00fchzeitig zu sichten und in die SIAM-Planung der wechselseitigen Rechte und Pflichten aller Beteiligten konzeptionell einzubinden erspart Zeit und Kummer.<\/p>\n\n

    In der Phase \u201ePlan & Build” wird der Vertragsentwurf erstellt, konkretisiert und schlie\u00dflich vom Auftraggeber f\u00fcr die Gespr\u00e4che, die zum Gesch\u00e4ftsabschluss mit allen Providern f\u00fchren freigegeben.
